The Dog Park Committee was established in January 2017 by the Birchwood City Council. The Committee was tasked with determining whether the City should have a dog park and if so, recommend possible locations for the park.
The Committee usually met monthly and was terminated at the Committee's recommendation in January 2018 after results of a community survey showed little support for a dog park in Birchwood at that time. The City Council liaison was Councilmember Kevin Woolstencroft.
