The Docks Task Force was created on June 13, 2017 during the regular City Council meeting. The Task Force was assigned to review the existing management of the docks and make recommendations to the City Council of ways to improve the management. Specifically, the Task Force was to recommend whether those management duties should be shifted from the Dock Association to the City. Because the Task Force had a narrow assignment, meetings were always confined to that topic, so agendas were not used.
The Task Force naturally dissolved after completing its stated purpose when it presented its final recommendation to the City Council in August 2017. The Council liaison to this Task Force was Councilmember Malvey.
